Pop sensation Jessie J switched on the Oxford Street Christmas lights at a spectacular ceremony hosted by the world’s top department store Selfridges on 12 November in London.Singer-songwriter sensation Jessie J performed on stage alongside international pop star Conor Maynard and X-Factor winner James Arthur.
The switch on event, hosted by Capital FM presenters Lisa Snowdon and Dave Berry, started from 5pm with the “switch on” at 6.15pm.For the first time in five years, the world famous Christmas lights have undergone a glittering transformation. The new £1.5m display will provide a dazzling show with three quarter of a million LED lights lighting up Oxford Street.
The new design is inspired by falling snow. The whole mile of Oxford Street will be covered in a blanket of bright white lights and 1778 baubles providing a perfect Christmas setting.
