This gorgeous city of Niagara Falls would be hosting as many as 150 different events throughout the year with an aim to revel in the festive spirit of this glorious occasion.
Therefore, this city is expecting a robust tourism season this year.
But then, the challenge is to retain the visitors for a longer duration as compared to what is generally observed normally.
Jim Diodati who is the mayor of Niagara Falls said that all the signs including international visitation portray that this year, 2017 is going to be the best year in what it seems like the last 25 years, in terms of earning tourism revenues.
The city of Niagara Falls would be spending $150,000 to promote and host various events this year like exhibitions and festivals.
Clifton Hill has been updated for this occasion, and this would feature a new Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum. In addition, a go-kart attraction in well under construction and it probably would be starting later this year. Jim Diodati has mentioned that the city has been including more fireworks to the falls.
Instead of the conventional three nights, tourists would be capable of enjoying 5 days out of the week.
The city says that the goal is to welcome a large number of visitors who stay for a much longer duration. Generally, tourists tend to spend approximately $2.2 billion a year in the falls.
