Nick Ashton joins Vueling as head of alliances

A320_VUELING_01 Nick Ashton will take up the role of head of alliances  and will be a part of planning and alliance area.


He will report directly to Manuel Ambriz network planning and alliances officer. The newly created position deals in maximizing the relationship and developing the company’s alliances strategy focusing mostly on the customer experience and optimization.


Ashton will be handling alliance relationships, establishing and consolidating partnership with other airlines providing clients with more choices with advanced technological developments in the industry.


Codeshare agreements is maintained by Vueling with IAG ( International Airlines Group) partners Iberia and British Airways.


Ashton holds more than ten years of experience in airlines. He started his career with British Airways and handled customer service duty manager and cabin crew, marketing, network development and alliances.


In his stint with Qatar Airways’ network strategy team in 2012, he took charge of the airline’s strategic partnership, joint ventures and alliances.


He last served Virgin Australia for three years and managed the company’s alliance partnerships in the EMEA region.
