A new strategic partnership has been signed between Nickelodeon and Tourism and Events Queensland in order to offer live tryouts on the Gold Coast for Slime Cup. After a huge successful first season, Nickelodeon Australia’s award-winning original production SLIME CUP declared a new partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) in order to increase live events for the series into the Gold Coast.
The kids of Queensland will get an opportunity to accept Nickelodeon’s challenges in order to show that they have what it takes to be SLIME CUP contestants for first time. 2017 live tryouts will take place on Sunday, 9 April at Sea World on the Gold Coast (9am – 4pm). Kate Jones, Minister for Tourism and Major Events said that the SLIME CUP live tryouts on the Gold Coast were an additional victory for the local tourism industry.
To quote Ms Jones, ‘We are so excited to be partnering with Nickelodeon for this great family-friendly event. Thousands of families are expected to tune-in when the series premieres in June, so this is a great opportunity for us to showcase one of our most popular tourist destinations to the entire country. We are looking forward giving Queensland kids the ultimate Nickelodeon experience right here on the Gold Coast this weekend.’
