The Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation or the NTDC explained that it has built up a roadmap that will help the tourism assets of the country to get promoted with an exceptional brand logo to be utilized as a marketing tool registered.
Mr Folorunsho Folarin-Coker, the Director General of the NTDC said in Abuja at the weekend that “The brand is an ambitious attempt at promoting tourism in Nigeria that aims to shape the narrative on Nigeria as a major destination for tourism, hospitality, arts and entertainment in Africa.”
He added by saying that the roadmap will highlight the lively and friendly energy of Nigerians via different creative expressions at the same time influence on the plentiful soft power to rejoice the heritage of Nigeria and endorse the natural and cultural tourism assets, places and locals.
He said the “Tour Nigeria” brand was imagined to drive domestic consumption of Nigeria’s tourism products, make new tourism markets and put in to the GDP of the country, generate employment, and add to spending in the economy.
“We are proudly the most populous black nation on earth, home to the second largest film industry on the globe whilst also being the fashion, technological and creative hub in Africa.”
