Firebomb attack in a night club in Egypt killed at least 12 people leaving 5 others injured near Cairo. The country that has already lost much of its tourism seems to be losing any further chances of revival with ongoing disturbances almost on a regular basis.
The club is in the Agouza neighborhood in Egypt’s Giza governorate on the outskirts of Cairo, on the western bank of the Nile. It is the suburban home to a number of expatriates.
The state run media outlet MENA reported that men on a motorcycle threw Molotov cocktails into the club in the Agouza district early Friday and then fled.
However terrorism is being ruled out in this case and it is most likely that one of the perpetrators was a former employee of the establishment, who had been fired. The attack appeared on a dispute between the night club group of youths and the employees. The fire was quickly extinguished and the matter is under investigation.
