The North Devon Journal, a weekly newspaper publishing from Barnstaple, North Devon has launched its Food, Drink & Tourism Awards 2017 to celebrate what makes North Devon so special on delicious food, great drink and warm hospitality.
North Devon Food, Drink and Tourism Awards 2017 will give a fantastic opportunity to the producers, retailers, chefs, publicans, hoteliers, baristas and many more to showcase their incredible work.
The editor of North Devon Journal, Jim Parker said that, they are pleased to announce the launch this prestigious award ceremony.
This award is celebrating the outstanding businesses in the food, drink and tourism sector. It is an opportunity for the province to remind itself of the diverse range of tourism and hospitality businesses which call North Devon Journal, a home and acknowledge their contribution in their specific field.
North Devon Food, Drink and Tourism Awards 2017 has 10 categories to choose from. It is an opportunity to be chosen for the prestigious overall Food, Drink and Tourism Business of the Year.
Parker wished that all the industry leaders of this arena will show their strong desire to participate in this fantastic event by nominating their business and join to celebrate the success of the finalists at the award ceremony.

The categories in restaurants are as follows: Best Café or Takeaway, Best Pub, Best local Food or Drink Producer or Outlet and Best Restaurant.
In Tourism categories: Best Hotel 5+ rooms, Best North Devon Accommodation, Best Visitor Attraction, Best Tourism Activity or Sport Provider, Best Garden or Country House, People’s Choice and Super Service.
The winners of North Devon Food, Drink and Tourism Awards 2017 will be announced at a spectacular awards ceremony on October 11, 2017, Wednesday at the Barnstaple Hotel. This gala event will have the great entertainment, an impressive menu of locally sourced food and a few surprises to make the event memorable and eventful.
