At Boughton House, a new project has been launched that would help to increase tourism revenue in Northamptonshire by 50 percent. One of the key attractions of the country, the proposed project is the brainchild of David Lowther. He spent many years in Saatchi & Saatchi agency as senior executive.
To quote David Lowther, ‘We’ve attracted more and more people, who have got involved. I’m really encouraged. People seem to have grabbed it by the horns.’ The quality and number of stately homes was one of the strongest selling points of the program. The launch took place at Boughton House among its opulent surroundings which is also known as English versatilles. Sports, entertainment and food and drink are in support of the campaign. To attract tourists, posters on the London Underground, billboards and adverts will play an important role in the campaign.
To quote Jon, Nunn, leader Northampton Council, ‘I think it can have a very positive economic impact. We’ve got people across Northampton employed in a wide variety of different things – and many of them are involved in the visitor economy.”
