The racing track would enable passengers to compete against each other in electric go-carts that would be representing the first-ever entertainment option aboard a ship based in North America.
It would be situated at the back of the 4,000-passenger ship.
And it would be a part of the longer version of a similar racing course that had debuted in April on Norwegian Joy that carries about 3,850 passengers. Norwegian Joy had been custom-made for the Chinese market and it sails throughout the year in the Asian subcontinent.
Andy Stuart who is the CEO and president of Norwegian Cruise Line told the media that the feedback from Joy has been phenomenal and people really love it.
Stuart also went on to add that the track on Bliss would be 40% longer than the one that would be constructed on Norwegian Joy. He said that the space on the cruise vessel has been utilized more intelligently on Bliss.
Besides, Stuart has mentioned that the vessel of Bliss would be equipped with an open-air laser tag course on its top deck and this is another feature that would debut on board the Norwegian Joy.
Some of the other deck-top features announced for Bliss comprise an Aqua Park with two multi-story water slides.
One of these water slides would possess a loop extending over the side of the ship and a second one that would function as a see-through loop stretching down to the deck below. The other slide would be a tandem attraction where passengers race side-by-side on inner tubes for over 360 feet.
It would also include a beautiful translucent section offering breathtaking views out to the ocean.
The pool deck of Norwegian Bliss would be opened up slightly more as compared to the other new Norwegian vessels, as declared by Stuart to the media.
In addition, Bliss would also have a watery fun zone for small kids on its top deck filled with splash pads, tipping buckets and slides. On Sunday Norwegian also revealed that unique dining options would also be available on the Bliss serving sausages, ribs, chicken, brisket and so on.
Furthermore, Bliss would also comprise a modern Mexican restaurant known as ‘Los Lobos’.
Los Lobos is an interesting concept that had debuted in 2016 on the Norwegian Dawn. The restaurant would be serving a drinks concept that is fresh, known as The A-List Bar. Premium spirits, wines and handcrafted cocktails would be offered to guests here.
Norwegian Bliss would also be the world’s first Norwegian cruise liner that comes with a full-service Starbucks store on board.
But then, it would also be the first Norwegian ship to boast of Coco’s, a chocolate-themed dessert outlet serving crepes, handmade pralines, truffles and many other delectable chocolate treats.
It is scheduled to set sail on its debut voyage in April.
And, it is planning to spend its summer season sailing in Alaska prior to moving out to the Caribbean for the winter season. Thereafter it would be moving out of Miami.
