Nova Scotia witnesses soaring maritime tourism

Nova Scotia TourismTourism officials in three Maritime provinces of Canada said that the number of tourists is on the rise considerably this year’s summer season.


And, Nova Scotia has actually witnessed the largest increase.


In the month of June, 23,000 more tourists had arrived marking an increase of nearly 11%. For the fourth year running, Prince Edward Island broke its monthly record by embracing 3,600 more tourists as compared to last year. And, New Brunswick witnessed a 5% rise in the month of June, with 8,500 more tourists more tourists than the same period last year.


Even on worst days, the scenario in the region of Peggis Cove observes the arrival of a large number of tourists.


Local restaurateurs said that they have also been a spectacle to a good amount of sales in this period.


The tourism numbers of July are expected to be released next week.
