The Odisha State government has determined to display the rich unexploited potentiality of its history, tradition and attractions on a global scale this year. Ashok Chandra Panda, the Tourism and Culture Minister explained that the concerned officials of the department are keen to partake in the forthcoming Global Travel Marts to be organized in the famous cities like London, Singapore and Berlin where the varied and rich tourism of Odisha will be showcased to lure tourists.
While talking about a road show hosted in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry or the FICCI in Mumbai, Panda expressed that the number of overseas visitors to Odisha has increased considerably due to the promotional initiatives.
“Odisha Tourism will take all possible measures to attract more tourists as well as develop tourism infrastructure,” he added.
Furthermore, from 15th till 17th of this month, the tourism department of this state has also hosted the Odisha Travel Bazaar in the capital city of Bhubaneswar to market its tourism destinations to all the tour operators from India and overseas.
