The workshop, titled “Omani Tourism Readiness to Receive Chinese Tourists,” was organized in Muscat, the Omani capital in the presence of Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary for the Omani Ministry of Tourism, and Li Lingbing, China’s ambassador to Oman.
Also, the workshop was attended by several companies and institutions related to the Omani tourism sector.
The Omani official highlighted the significance of the Chinese market to Oman as one of the crucial global markets aimed by the Omani tourism.
Li informed Xinhua that the relations between Oman and China are distinguished and have increased particularly after the setting up of strategic partnership between the two countries last year.
“This has increased the volume of cooperation between the two countries in many fields including tourism, and doubled the number of Chinese tourists arriving in Oman during the first half of this year,” Li added.
