Leading Australian design agency Grin Creative has teamed up with the Sultanate of Oman Tourism Australia & New Zealand to create an online competition that has thousands of entrants dreaming about an Arabian adventure.
Grin Creative, in collaboration with development partner Kongo Industries, was the creative mastermind behind the blockbuster promotion, designing an enticing interactive micro-site that gives visitors the chance to win a seven-night trip to Oman.
The Secrets of Oman promotion takes users on a journey through the nation’s iconic ornate doors, inspiring them with glimpses of the Sultanate’s people, places and personality, while also providing a platform for them to win their own grand adventure.
The site showcases 60 unique Oman experiences through a series of colourful and eye-catching doors that act as an enticing portal through which visitors navigate to discover their ideal Arabian holiday.
Grin Creative General Manager Erica Markus said the project, which was six months in the making, set a new benchmark for creative engagement in the digital space.
“The site truly is a standout digital showpiece in terms of design aesthetic and audience appeal. We’ve created an attractive, compelling site that really draws users in.”
Sultanate of Oman Tourism Country Manager Australia & New Zealand Mona Tannous said they were thrilled with the results.
“Grin and Kongo have absolutely nailed the brief. We wanted an engaging site that would capture the spirit of Oman and really engage with site visitors and inspire them to enter the competition, and they have delivered in spades,” Ms Tannous said.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response, with more than 8000 entries received in less than two weeks. Not only have we been able to showcase the very best of Oman, but the promotion has enabled us to significantly grow our database.”
