As part of the “Omni Originals” series, participating properties from across the country will feature themed food and beverage programming each quarter that showcases the hotel brand’s regional culinary talent, speaks to timely trends, and ultimately surprises-and-delights guests.
As a nod to “National Homemade Soup Day” on Feb. 4, the debut promotion, “Sensational Soups,” will kick off on Wednesday, Feb. 1 and continue through Tuesday, Feb. 28. This month-long initiative will highlight a different regionally-inspired, homemade soup every Monday throughout the month. Each recipe was thoughtfully selected based on its iconic standing within the hotel from which it came. Omni guests who dine at participating Omni hotels will receive a complimentary taste of the featured soup, with the option of purchasing a full-sized cup or bowl.
The featured soups include a bold Tortilla Soup, recipe courtesy of Executive Chef Gabino Acosta of Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas (served Wednesday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 5); a hearty New England Clam Chowder, recipe courtesy of Executive Chef Gerard Tice of Omni Parker House in Boston, Mass. (served Monday, Feb. 6 through Sunday, Feb. 12); a classic Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese, recipe courtesy of Executive Chef Robert Ash of Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Fla. (served Monday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 19); and a creamy Lobster Bisque, recipe courtesy of Executive Chef Sean Merchant of Bob’s Steak & Chop House in Dallas, Texas (served Monday, Feb. 20 through Tuesday, Feb. 28).
Programming for the remaining quarters of the 2017 year will be announced in the coming months.
