Another 76% of theme park visitors seek smartphone apps offering them updates.
They want these apps also to notify them when their rooms are ready. On the other hand, 66% are looking for a park app to provide them a personalized itinerary. And, 69% mentioned that the quality of their visits would be improved if they can enjoy cash-free transactions while paying and 65% wish to pre-pay for food.
The results were declared in the second Omnico Theme Park Barometer that had explored the expectations of 774 US consumers who had visited theme parks in the last two years.
Mel Taylor who is the CEO of Omnico Group said that the US consumers want technology to make their theme park visits more memorable. He added that this is due to the fact that expectations of the visitors are gradually rising and therefore they want park operators to ensure that they are entitled to the best technological platforms that ease their visits considerably.
For instance, 69% of visitors claimed that their visits would be better if they had real-time advice about weather conditions prior to opting for rides or attractions outside.
