The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2017 (LIMA’17), to be held in March in Malaysia, expects to attract more than 40,000 trade visitors from the defence and commercial sectors from all around the world.
LIMA exhibition is scheduled from March 21 to 25. The five-day aerospace exhibition will be held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre, while Resort World Langkawi would host the maritime exhibition.
Defence Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said it would attract the most influential procurement executives from the defence and civil sectors including airlines, shipping, oil and gas, agriculture, tourism and health.
“All participants at LIMA stand to gain from the comprehensive civil, commercial and defence delegates programme implemented at the show.
“It is an excellent opportunity for LIMA to place itself as one of the major maritime and aerospace events in the world events calendar as ASEAN and Asia in general is currently the high growth area for worldwide aerospace and maritime sectors,” he said in his speech at the LIMA official sponsors recognition ceremony, in Kuala Lumpur today (Jan 12).
