palace-lost-cityThe Palace, Sun City – a property within Sun International’s exclusive Sunlux Collection – has relaunched its wedding portfolio to the international market with the tagline: “It’s possible at The Palace: Unforgettable Celebrations.”

Joanne Selby, General Manager, The Palace, Sun City comments:
“The Palace is a place that inspires possibility and creativity. And when it comes to weddings, the property offers endless opportunities to make the event an unforgettable day full of possibility, style and memories. From a walk down the aisle in true South African style, saying your vows from the King’s Tower, to celebratory photos taken in a hot air balloon, the Palace can make it happen.”

The Palace’s new wedding portfolio comprises many opportunities for guests from all four corners of the world to tailor wedding and wedding celebrations in a wide range of locations and styles.

“Nowadays, weddings are seen as bespoke events and we have created a wedding brochure to highlight our offerings: moods, styles and ideas rather than simply supplying a location or planning details,” adds Ms. Selby.

The Palace’s Royal Chamber opens onto a terrace overlooking the magnificent Palace gardens – a location perceived as both glamorous and luxurious. The Wind Chime Chapel is a more relaxed environment – positioned as perfect for high-end, barefoot wedding receptions and celebrations. The Baobab Outlook, located within the Palace gardens is the more dramatic location, basking in the backdrop and lights of The Palace and its towers. For an experience that is magical at night, The Queen’s Quarter is located on an island in the centre of the Palace Lake, where guests are entertained in a magnificent five-domed pavilion with distinctive glass windows overlooking The Palace pool and surrounding Palace gardens. Finally, The King’s Tower, the highest point of The Palace, overlooks the entire expanse of The Sun City Resort with extraordinary views of the Pilanesberg.

Ms. Selby continues:

“The Palace has been a well-known wedding destination since we first opened our doors 22 years ago. The increasing interest in the destination wedding market from across the world has been a real growth market for The Palace. With an exclusive venue, endless potential and bespoke experiences to meet every specific need, we can easily expand the offer to honeymoons/anniversaries and other family celebrations or multi-generational holidays.”

The Palace, Sun City – a property within Sun International’s exclusive SunLux Collection – is an exclusive hotel surrounded by streams, waterfalls, sculpture-lined walkways and dramatic views of its exclusive Gary Player Golf Course. A Leading Hotel of the World, The Palace is the only exclusive 5* property within the Sun City complex and has enthralled and amazed visitors from across the world since its inception in 1992.
