Palm Beach County tourism on a record high this year

Palm Beach CountyAs per Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing organization, Palm Beach County is about to expect 7.2 million tourists this year which would break last year’s record of 6.9 million. After facing a difficult year because of Zika outbreak, mass public shooting in Orlando nightclub and alligator attack at the Disney World, this would be a major turning point of tourism for the Palm beach County.

 
The tourism leaders of Palm Beach County faced crisis in July as a result blue-green algae attack in South Florida Beaches. As a result of this many treasure coast beaches were closed which impacted Palm Beach County as well. However, hotel occupancy level didn’t show much impact of the newspaper headlines.

 
Hotel occupancy level rose to 73 percent in November which shows 1.6 percent increase than 2015. As per the statistics of Discover, nightly hotel room grew 3.7 percent in comparison to Nov, 2015.Plummeting temperature, county convention center and growth in sports tourism has contributed enormously behind uplifting the tourism of the County.
