downloadAbout 20,000 people will visit the coastal town of Paracas in Peru over the course of the 51st Annual Conference of Executives-CADE 2013 from Nov 27 to 29, according to local mayor Miguel Castillo.

Castillo said that this number includes event participants and their accompanying relatives and friends, “who will take the opportunity to explore the attractions of Paracas.””This event will generate significant revenue for the local economy through increased visitor spending on lodging, food and tours to places like the Ballestas islands,” he told Andina.

“CADE is an opportunity for Paracas to show what we can offer as a centre of tourism and economic development. It can be a platform to ensure our growth,” Castillo added. The mayor said he hopes that CADE, one of the major business events in Peru, will help Paracas become an ideal venue for international meetings and attract investment in sectors like tourism.

With the theme “Renewing the Spirit of Paracas,” the three-day conference opened Wednesday with some 1,000 business executives in attendance.
