With spring in full bloom and May’s Chelsea Flower Show etched in the pages of every flower-lover’s diary, floral fever has hit the UK. Further afield, Hotel Pulitzer, Amsterdam is also celebrating the season of blooms. Inspired by its location in the world’s most iconic botanical city, the hotel is launching an Amsterdam Flower Trail package.
With Amsterdam’s famous Tulip Festival taking place until mid-May, the floating Flower Garden Bloemenmarkt is looking its most spectacular. Add to this the popular Open Garden Days set to take the city by storm in June, now is the perfect time for plant loving travellers to visit.
Hotel Pulitzer’s Amsterdam Flower Trail will enable green-fingered guests to get out and about and see the best of Amsterdam’s horticultural highlights. A crack-of-dawn guided tour of the Flora Holland Flower Auction, the world’s largest indoor flower auction house, can also be arranged at an extra cost.
The floral trail runs through the hotel itself; the Lobby Lounge’s expert mixologists have crafted a floral inspired cocktail – the Lillet Rosé Cocktail – using edible flowers to enjoy in the hotel’s leafy courtyard. The package also includes a tulip welcome gift, seasonal flowers in-room and a Floral Turndown including a lavender oil bath, rose petal bed and camomile tea, maximising on the therapeutic and calming qualities of the flower and aiding a good night’s sleep.
