On Tuesday a flight of SpiceJet had to make an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the eastern Indian state of Odisha after it was reported that one of the passengers on board this aircraft suddenly fell sick.
This flight was on its way to Bagdogra from Chennai.
Thereafter it had to be diverted. Later it went for an emergency landing around noon after a passenger named N Das complained of dizziness and soon fell sick.
An SOS was called immediately.
Then an ambulance was also kept on standby as a precautionary measure after the terminal of the airport staff were alerted about the medical emergency of a passenger.
The Boeing 737 airplane that was carrying 189 passengers landed at the airport.
Then later a team of doctors at the medical inspection room of the airport responded immediately. But then a preliminary checkup and treatment was conducted at the airport.
And finally Das was declared fit and the flight departed at around 2 p.m.
