Passengers complain of nausea, United Airlines diverted to London

United AirlinesA flight of United Airlines that was travelling from Germany to the United States was compelled to go for an emergency landing in London after many travellers reported feeling nauseous.


The plane was flying from Munich to Newark on Sunday.


Thereafter it made an unscheduled landing at Heathrow after several passengers complained about feeling unwell. The cause of the illness of the passengers is currently being investigated and the plane has been taken out of service.


As per the regional news media the flight was around 180 nautical miles from London when multiple people started complaining about feeling sick and slightly dizzy.


Immediately the staff members of the airline turned the plane around and diverted it to Heathrow.


Here the passengers received medical attention. One of the passengers was reportedly taken off the aircraft by emergency services and other later disembarked. They were checked over for signs of illness.


This airline re-booked customers on alternative flights and some of them were also offered accommodation in hotel rooms.


As per the regional news media platform, the United Airlines said that the airplane was removed from service as the cause of the sickness is being investigated.
