PATA creates new borders of adventure tourism in Luoyang, China

PATAThe PATA Adventure Travel Conference and Mart 2017 (ATCM 2017) in collaboration with the Luoyang Adventure Tourism and Equipment Expo, concluded on 4th April, 2017 in Luoyang, Henan province that is located in China.



More than 500 delegates from 36 nations were present for this three-day niche event.



This major event had brought together pioneers, change-drivers and thought leaders that were molding the emerging landscape of the adventure travel sector. The event was hosted by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in conjunction with the Henan Provincial Tourism Administration and Luoyang Municipal People’s Government.



And, the Luoyang Municipal Tourism Committee and Beijing Sunny International Communications Limited had executed the event.



Dr. Mario Hardy, CEO, PATA, said that the event offered the ideal opportunity for the delegates to build their businesses, with an aim to network and gain valuable insights about the rapidly growing adventure travel sector. This one-day Mart was arranged in a vibrant manner with motivating results.



He also feels that this grand conference was really informative and educational and he was delighted that it was able to attract a large number of guest speakers.



ATCM2017 commenced with the one-day B2B mart on Sunday, 2nd April with 79 seller organizations that represented 14 countries like Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, China, Bhutan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Nepal, Mongolia, Myanmar, Lao PDR and Korea.



Utilizing PATA’s effective business matching software these Sellers hosted more than 3,000 pre-matched face-to-face appointments with Buyers from 61 buyer organizations in 15 nations including Singapore, Thailand, The United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Poland, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Hungary, Germany, Finland, China, Canada, Bulgaria and Australia.


The topics covered ‘Create, Connect, Conserve: The case study of Luoyang’, Creating new boundaries of adventure tourism experiences’, and ‘Equipping a destination’ and so on.
