Students between the ages 18 and 35 who are enrolled at a certified educational institution are eligible to apply for membership of this travel association.
Once students become members of this association, they would be capable of participating in PATA events, activities and training. Also, this brand new membership category offers YTP student members an opportunity to stay tuned to the industry network of PATA.
The broad network of PATA actually includes Destination Management Offices (DMOs), National Tourism Organisations (NTOs), tour operators, offline influencers, industry start-ups, hotels and also online influencers.
Mario Hardy, the CEO of PATA said that as they are embracing 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, the development of YTP is one of their main objectives.
He added that this membership category strengthens their commitment to enable the voices of the future tourism leaders to be audible.
Mr. Hardy feels that all the students should make efforts to develop their respective networks, insights and careers and be determined to collaborate with PATA within the Asia Pacific region and also beyond.
The PATA YTP membership category had been developed in consultation with previous and current intern associates as well as the PATA Student Chapters.
