From now on, the South region of Argentina will be able to count on a permanent representation in Europe, established in Italy. An official presentation will be held in front of the local tourism community and press
The Official Tourism Institution Patagonia Argentina ? the body in charge of promoting tourism of the region ? has designated Dr. Vanesa Di Martino Creide as its Representative for the European market.
The objective of its mandate will be to create workspaces with tour operators, press and media of the European market, trying to spread widely and keep updated the knowledge of Patagonia as a tourist destination.
Di Martino will be in London at the World Travel Market 2013, on 4th and 5th of November, at the Argentina stand, to talk with operators and the British press
“Europe is one of the most traditional markets for Patagonia, ? says the President of the Institution, Dr. Marcelo Echazú ? the decision to designate a permanent representative in this continent, responds to the need to maintain and revive the placement of our destination in the Spanish, Italian, French, British and German markets “. Specific promotional activities will be targeted to particular market niches, where the Patagonia has an extraordinary offer: high range, golf, adventure, skiing, fishing, polo, oenology and gastronomy.
Argentina receives annually five million and half foreign tourists, of whom a 12% of European origin; This assigns to the European market the third place, in order of importance, for the country.
