The beaches of Goa and the Portuguese city, Panjim and Candolim, are emerging as one of the major states in India driving tourists to South Africa and have been identified as one of the 10 high potential locations where the people are willing to travel to South Africa.
Goa has the highest per capita income and it is the home of a large number of wealthy retirees. Goa offered an enormous potential for South African tourism.
South African tourism here is boosted with the hands of tour operators and the travel agents. The promotion of South Africa has been done in an annual travel trade training session that was held in Goa on Sunday.
The session has enlightened the travel agents about how to choose the best facilities for their customers. There were also updates about all the new things to see and do in South Africa and basics like visa and logistical know-how to ensure that travelers are catered to efficiently said Country Manager, South African Tourism, Hanneli Slabber.
Hanneli Slabber also added that their international target is to welcome more than 1, 00,000 Indian visitors in 2017 and it is matter of great thrill that to work on the targets. As per data, there are about 95000 tourists from India visit South Africa. India ranked eighth among South Africa’s foreign visitors in the last year 2016.
South Africa tourism is noted for the pristine rock beaches in Cape Town and the wildlife sanctuaries. Here the tourists can enjoy the adventure in the midst of wilderness and the scenic beauty of the city life.
