Peru nature tourismIn a bid to promote Peru, the Inca country took part in the international tourism exhibition ITB 2017. Peru showcased the country as the best adventure and nature destination, as well as the recently-opened Kuelap cable-car system in the competitive German market, Peru’s Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) announced.

Peru was represented by a delegation which comprised 36 co-exhibitor companies. The group held work meetings with major tour operators to identify new promotional opportunities and coordinate joint actions to promote the Andean nation in Germany and other European markets.

Promperu was awarded the second prize for Best Exhibitor among Latin American and Caribbean countries, thanks to its stall’s design, original proposal and service provided to attendees.

Fairgoers were provided with destinations-related information and a brochure on nature and adventure across different regions in Peru. They also enjoyed the Peru 360 Experience — a plethora of exciting virtual reality videos featuring Peruvian destinations.

According to latest Foreign Tourist Profile, produced by PromPeru, potential travellers choose Peru as their holiday destination for three primary reasons: its culture, nature and adventure.
