Peruvian cookbooks w steal the show at Gourmand Awards 2016 in China

Peruvian cookbooksPeruvian cookbooks received recognition at the Gourmand Awards 2016 ceremony held in Yantai China on May 27-30th.

 
“Gastronomic Diplomacy Manual,” written by Guillermo Gonzales and Blanca Chavez’s “El Camaron” held first positions.

 
Virgilio Martinez’s “Lima: Cocina Peruana” and “Piura: La Cocina Peruana tiene un Norte” by Adolfo Perret were also highlighted at the event.

 
The day concluded with the first preparation of Peruvian Pachamanca on Chinese soil by Nathaly Torres.

 
The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards were founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau. Every year, they honor the best food and wine books, printed or digital, as well as food television.

 

Books from 205 countries participated in this prestigious event.
