Philadelphia has got its first micro-hotel. The Pod Hotel group has recently debuted in the desirable Rittenhouse Square neighbourhood. The hotel, developed by Modus Hotels and Parkway Corporation, has a total of 252 rooms. This happens to be the sixth property of the Pod Hotel.
The existing Pod hotels are based in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Washington D. C. The new Pod Hotel at Philadelphia has well-designed guest rooms beside vibrant food and beverage spaces. The Pod Phily has been positioned to meet the requirements of modern business travellers.
All the guest rooms and studio rooms of the hotel are equipped of floor to ceiling windows that offer beautiful views of Philadelphia. The New York-based firm Stonehill Taylor has done the interior designing. It has done its best to maximize the utilization of space in the guestrooms.
Local artists’ influences can be seen over all the property. Three food and beverage spaces are there in the property.
A contemporary 140-seat eatery “Condesa” is also there in the hotel. The menu comprises regionally-inspired dishes centred on Mexican heirloom corn tortillas and all-day open café “El-Café” is another attraction of the hotel.
The 11th floor Taqueria offers Mexican menu besides offering expensive views of the Philadelphia skyline through retractable glass windows. The open-air dining makes the experience even more exciting.
The on-site fitness centre has Matrix equipment, free weights and Peloton bikes. Guests can enjoy complimentary fitness class.
Eco-friendly bath products and paperless check-in minimize the hotel’s environmental footprint.
