Four Seasons Hotel Denver welcomes Eric and Mark Norbom as the property’s next artists-in-residence. These photographers will display many pieces from their Time’s Hand collection throughout the Hotel’s lobby in February. Additionally, they will host two cocktail parties, both from 6:00 to 8:30 pm, on February 4 and 11, 2016.
In March of last year, brothers and photographers Eric and Mark Norbom set off on a month-long trip across the four corner states, photographing images along the way. “We are struck by the abundant wealth of natural beauty found in America’s Southwest,” commented Eric Norbom. “Our resulting images are meant to invoke our personal perspective and response to these exquisite creations.”
On their excursion, they started by crisscrossing northern Arizona and southern Utah, trekking to places such as the Wahweep Hoodoos, White Rocks, Paw Hole, White Pocket and Antelope Canyon. Traveling north and east into Utah through Bryce Canyon, Escalante and Canyonlands, they also passed through the Bisti Badlands in New Mexico and Arizona’s Monument Valley. All in all, the Norbom brothers captured more than 5,500 images, compiling them into a collection titled Time’s Hand.
The artist-in-residence program at Four Seasons began in 2015, with the Hotel hosting a contemporary Western artist, a fashion designer and a fashion photographer. From their pop-up studios in the Hotel’s lobby, these local artists painted, designed and photographed as passersby enjoyed viewing and interacting with the artists.
