Plane with dead body on board continues flight after emergency landing

Turkmenistan AirlinesAn aircraft that was heading to the United Kingdom from the Central Asian nation of Turkmenistan had to go for an emergency landing in Russia after one of its elderly passengers on board the flight suddenly fell ill.


The man died prior to the landing of the aircraft.


However, the flight continued towards its final destination with the dead body of the passenger on the plane. The media reports have said that the flight T5429 of Turkmenistan Airlines was en route from Ashghat International Airport to Birmingham Airport when an 85-year-old male passenger fell ill from an asthma attack.


The pilot of the flight made an emergency landing in Volgograd that is a city in Russia.


But, the man had been pronounced dead following the emergency landing of the plane. Now, instead of transporting the corpse by another means of transportation. The plane continued flying to Birmingham along with the corpse of the ma on board the flight.


One of the sources asserted that a group of investigators had arrived at the airport but were not let inside the aircraft.


The decision to make an emergency landing was taken by the pilot of the plane while the passenger was still alive. But, when the plane had landed in Volgograd, the emergency doctors certified his death.


The Boeing 757 was carrying 189 passengers and nine crew members during the time of the emergency landing.


The officials from the West Midlands Police said that they did not receive any report of the incident simply because it was not a criminal matter at all.
