While the world is going gaga about Pokemon Go phenomena, millennials can’t seem to get enough of. Basel, is a city on the Rhine River in northwest Switzerland, is one of the few standing head and shoulders above others with its content.
Basel Tourism created a beautiful video which is aimed at drawing tourists to the Swiss city of Basel. it is shown that the Pikachu monsters are coming to the tourists! The funny video reached more than 65m views on social media site and just shy of a million on YouTube. The sole idea seems to convey to the tourists that it is Pokemon friendly city.
Shot with drones, the video promotes the city and a hub providing information for travelling trainers. To attract a young audience is the main purpose of the video as said by Christine Waelti, manager of marketing and communications at Basel Tourism.
Basel Tourism teamed up with marketing agency Fadeout to present a “reverse” Pokemon Go. So, it is tourists who are being hunted by the Pokemon creating a twist on the global gaming craze.
