In order to attend a wedding ceremony, Edgar Rosas Lorenzo, a Minnesota resident on Saturday flew with his family to Sin City. But before checking into his hotel, he stopped at a pot dispensary on the Las Vegas Strip.
The 21-year-old explains that he got to know of the legalization of recreational marijuana in Nevada airport when he was waiting for his flight to take off. He waited in the queue for more than 40 minutes before he could actually get hold of one-eighth of an ounce of marijuana and hemp wraps. After buying, Lorenzo instantly posted photos of his stash on Snapchat. He said that his friends were quite jealous by seeing the pics and asked where he bought the products.
However, in public, it still remains illegal in Nevada to consume marijuana including at casinos and hotels. Lorenzo further adds by saying that he is yet to figure out where he will get the chance to smoke the weed he got at the Essence Cannabis Dispensary.
Lorenzo confirms that he will for sure plan another trip to Vegas specifically to get the chance to legally purchase marijuana, not to visit the city’s world-famous casinos.
