The awards evening took place on this evening from 6 to 10 p.m. and will pay tribute to some of the well-known individuals in tourism sector across P.E.I. along with the presentation of 10 awards all through the evening.
The theme of Thursday’s tourism conference was “The Hustle.” It was hosted at the Delta Prince Edward located in Charlottetown. It happened as a full-day event starting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The conference had a panel of discussion with five experts of the industry members of varied age groups. The attendees of the conference learned the best practices and questioned the ways panelist encountered their challenges and successes and gripped “The Hustle”.
The days also included the TIAPEI annual meeting along with a presentation from Tourism P.E.I. on the 2016/17 tourism numbers. The keynote speakers were Charlotte Bell from Tourism Industry Association of Canada and Keith Henry from Aboriginal Tourism Association of Canada. To quote Kevin Mouflier, CEO of TIAPEI says, “TIAPEI always looks forward to celebrating our ambassadors every year that go above and beyond to showcase Prince Edward Island as a top tourism destination. The conference will be an excellent opportunity for tourism operators and stakeholders to network and learn from each other.”
