Appealing Charms of Phuket

Phang Nga Bay
When one visit the popular Phang Nga Bay in Phuket, one is sure to get mesmerized by the sheer limestone cliffs that stands just vertically  out of the emerald green water. James Bond Island and Koh Panyee are the two best appeals of this bay. If one wants to enjoy the stunning beauty in and around Phuket, a boat trip from the northern end of the city through this bay is the best way to experience it.

Phuket Town
Phuket Town is popular for its illustrious shrines, temples, ornate and beautifully preserved ‘shop-houses’, quaint cafes, tiny printing shops, impromptu private and public museums and even a mini ex-red light district.

Soi Bangla
Soi Bangla wakes up when the sun sets. Famous for its bawdy nightlife, Bangla goes all out to entertain with girls, beers and music that increases in volume as the moon rises.
Dancing around poles, engaging in banter, or coaxing customers to play simple bar games like “Connect” or “Hammer the nail” to break the ice, is what the girls here are mainly appointed for. Phuket Simon Cabaret
Phuket’s Simon Cabaret has become one of the Southeast Asia’s stupendous attractions, drawing in a thousand visitors from around the world every evening. Only one show runs the entire range of musical theatre from cultures around the world. Colourful costumes, make-up and sets give wings to audience’s imagination and take them from Egypt to Latin America to China and then back to Thailand.Theme- based classical dance and song performances have always drawn in huge crowds here.

Wat Chalong in Phuket
Wats or Buddhist temples are among the most significant symbols of Thailand, probably because majority of the Thais are Buddhist. These temples have the best architectural touches which could be another reason for their prominence in the city’s culture. . In Phuket alone, there are 29 Buddhist temples spread around the island.
Wat Chalong has been offering an amiable welcome to the visitors for over a century. Locals come to pray and foreigners  to know more about Buddhism. The temple is open from seven in the morning till five in the afternoon.

Phuket Big Buddha
One of the island’s most important and venerated landmarks, Phuket’s Big Buddha sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and at 45 metres high due to which it could be easily seen from miles away.
The lofty site offers the best 360-degree views of the island. It’s a must-visit island destination.

Thai Boxing in Phuket
One of the most popular sports of Thailand, and now even a world renowned one, is the martial art of Muay Thai. Exciting enough on TV – the furious punches, crushing elbow strikes, lethal kicks and artful feints- Muay Thai is more delight when seen live.

Phuket Vegeterian Festival
This festival celebrates the Chinese community’s belief that abstinence from meat and various stimulants during the ninth lunar month of the Chinese calendar will help in gaining good health and peace of mind. It is a colourful event held over a nine- day period in October.
Though the origin of the festival is unclear, it is believed that the festival came to Phuket through a wandering Chinese opera group who fell ill with malaria while performing on the island.

Phuket FantaSea
Island’s biggest show, Phuket FantaSea features trapeze artists, a cast of hundreds, performing elephants and other animals and an exotic storyline that blends tradition with fantasy. one can have a wonderful evening out here. But the extravaganza doesn’t stop here as FantaSea also hosts one of the biggest buffets in Asia and is set in a theme park that offers carnival-like games, lots of shopping opportunities, a Palace of the Elephants, a Similan Adventure Centre along with several other food outlets.
