On 15 March 2016, as proposed by its Appointments and Governance Committee, the Air France-KLM Board of Directors decided to submit the proposed appointment of Anne-Marie Couderc, Alex Wynaendts and Hans Smits as Board directors to the Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting on 19 May 2016.
After twelve years’ service, Mssrs. Jean-François Dehecq, Leo van Wijk and Cornelis van Lede will be stepping down as Board directors and Mr. Alexandre de Juniac, Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM, expressed his sincere thanks for their loyalty to the Group and the quality of their contribution to the Board of Directors.
Anne-Marie Couderc has been Chair of the Presstalis Board of Directors since 2011, having first been Chief Executive Officer. She had previously been Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère Active having held other positions within the Lagardère Group (Press branch). She also served as the Deputy Minister for Employment (1995-1997).
Alex Wynaendts is CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Aegon NV, a company within which he has been a member of the Executive Board since 2003 and where he has occupied various functions since 1997. Mr. Wynaendts began his career at ABN Amro Bank after completing his studies in France (Supélec, Sorbonne).
Hans Smits is Chairman of the KLM Supervisory Board. He was previously Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Rotterdam after a career in Dutch public service. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Janssen de Jong Group.
