In the context of the 18th constitutional amendment, provincial autonomy is very optimistic, however, the tourism industry should be under the authority of the federal government, because it’s a federal responsibility in all countries of the world. After reinstatement of peace in the country, the situation has altered attracting more foreign tourists in Pakistan. This year in comparison to 2016, has witnessed an increase in the number of domestic and foreign tourists with an improvement in global image of Pakistan.
PTDC managing director also said that there are lot of other things to be done to endorse tourism and development of infrastructure in our country. The tourism industry should be given prime importance in terms of national economy, which is key to our society, culture and ecosystem. Through public and private sector sharing, these targets can be achieved with effectual approach and our country can be seen as a perfect tourist canter.
