QANTAS Flight Made Emergency Landing Due to Windscreen Crack

emergency-landing1Due to windscreen crack, QANTAS flight to Perth had to make an emergency landing yesterday. A Qantas spokesperson said the crack was in the inner windscreen.

 
Flight QF1091 had 92 people on board at the time. The Boeing 738 aircraft returned to Newman because of the crack and put on another flight.

 
A Qantas spokeswoman said “Aircraft windscreens are multilayered and made up of separate internal and external panes of glass as well as a vinyl sheet through the middle. Only the inner windscreen was cracked.”

 
Investigations are in progress to find out the way the cause of the crack.
