As such, Qantas is offering a unique deal for those wanting to attend the opening ceremony celebrations.
April 8 marked the six-month mark until the opening ceremony and Qantas acknowledged the milestone with a 10 per cent discount off designated domestic flights to and from Alice Springs to make travel easier and more affordable.
Northern Territory Minister for Sport and Recreation Nathan Barrett MLA said the agreement was a fantastic promotion for the 2016 Alice Springs Masters Games.
“With more than 4000 participants expected to converge on Alice Springs in October this is a fantastic opportunity to get in early and book your flights,” he said.
“Adding a special deal for those wishing to fly to the Red Centre will encourage people to attend the Alice Springs Masters Games and they can ‘Do the NT’ as part of that trip.”
Qantas’ Regional Manager for Northern Territory, Rick Sawicki, said it was great to be involved in the 30th Anniversary event.
“Qantas is pleased to offer a special discount for those travelling to the 2016 Alice Springs Masters Games, which will provide a tourism boost to the Northern Territory,” he said.
