At a ceremony in White House, Qatar Airways announced the order for 18 Gulfstream aircraft and the event was attended by sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of Qatar and United States president, Donald Trump.
The new order will add to Qatar Executive’s growing fleet which at the moment includes six G650ER and four G500 aircraft. The new order is worth $1 billion for 14 Gulfstream G650ER and four Gulfstream G500.
With the new commitment the corporate jet division , Qatar Executive is going strength to strength as the new orders will allow them to offer bespoke luxury service to even more passengers.
Since October 2014, Qatar executive has been a Gulfstream customer and the charter service was announced as the international launch customer for the all-new G500 as a part of the large fleet agreement. It included the G650ER.
For the mixed fleet of large-cabin aircraft valued at over $1 billion will build on the airline’s efforts to expand the Gulfstream cabin experience around the world.
So far, Gulf Stream has delivered six G650ER and four G500 aircraft to Qatar Executive.This includes the first two international deliveries of the G500 in December 2018.
