Qatar Airways is pleased to announce the launch of its new flight to Luanda, Angola, in March 2020. The flight to the main and largest city of Angola up to five times a week is carried out by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class. It is the first destination of the award-winning airline to the African nation.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, commented: “We are pleased to announce our new service to Luanda – the latest destination in our fast-growing African network, henceforth the Luanda with major markets in the Far East, Southeast Asia and Europe will be connected. The new route to the coastal city of Luanda not only strengthens the connection between the state of Qatar and Angola, but also allows a seamless journey into and out of this fascinating country with one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Qatar Airways strives to expand its presence in Africa and expand the 24 destinations in 17 African countries that we already offer. ”

Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 250 aircraft through its Hub Hamad International Airport (HIA) to more than 160 destinations worldwide.
The national airline of the State of Qatar has recently launched many exciting new destinations, including Rabat in Morocco, Izmir in Turkey, Malta, Davao in the Philippines, Lisbon in Portugal and Mogadishu in Somalia. In October 2019, the airline Langkawi, Malaysia, and Gaborone, Botswana, will begin their extensive route network.
