This winter, Qatar tourism is all set to perk up this festive season. Tourists who love to bathe in sun, living in countries under the grip of harsh winters, are keen for warmer climates and will visit Qatar for a refreshing vacation, as the travel agents believe.
Concerned authorities have taken many efforts to encourage tourism and attract tourists to visit Qatar.
“This winter will definitely be better than previous winters for Qatar tourism sector as many positive steps were taken by the concerned authorities this year. I am expecting more number of tourists coming to Qatar this season compared to previous years. I have received many queries from groups from Czech Republic and Russia,” James De Silva, Sales and Holiday In-charge, NBK Travel and Tourism told The Peninsula.
“Qatar is a very good destinations for tourists from countries that are currently under the grip of harsh winter. Beautiful beaches, traditional places and activities like desert safari which will make their trip memorable,” he added.
Additionally, Qatar tourism will get an extra impetus by the expansion strategy with Qatar Airways which would link many European cities and various continents to Doha. At present, the national carrier of Qatar manages 42 carriers from Italy, 15 flights from Russia, 7 flights from the Czech Republic and 7 flights from Ukraine every week. Recently, the award-winning airline company had introduced direct flights to Russia’s St Petersburg
“Qatar is a perfect winter sun destination for many travelers across Europe, Ukraine and Russia. The tourist friendly steps by the authorities has made Qatar more attractive to tourists,” a senior official of Tour and Travel company told The Peninsula.
