Arabian Adventures Qatar CEO Hassen Mohamed A Hijji explained that numerous tour packages have lately become quite interesting for both domestic as well as international visitors.
“We have been fully booked prior to the onset of winter, which is a peak season, and we expect more people in the coming weeks,” he noted, explaining that they saw a huge growth in visitor numbers in comparison to last year in the same period.
Hijji praised Qatar Tourism Authority or QTA in terms of visa facilitation measures like the visa-free entry for citizens of 80 countries and the free-of-charge transit visa – turning Qatar one of the most preferred tourism destinations in the region.
On the basis of QTA’s records, the numbers of halts between January and November, passengers are entering the country have been increased by 34% in comparison to the corresponding period in 2016.
Hijji highlighted that the number of international tourists is anticipated to rush in the near future, citing the ongoing development of tourism infrastructure in the country.
“Many foreign tourists normally plan ahead so we expect to see more people coming to Qatar through the visa-free entry in the coming weeks or months,” Hijji said.
