Radisson Hotel Group has appointed Zubin Saxena as its new CEO for South Asia.
Zubin Saxena who was the head of development for Radisson in South Asia will take over from Raj Rana, sources added.
Radisson Hotel Group is among the top five hotel brands in India in terms of number of hotel rooms and globally has more than 1400 hotels in operation and under development across 8 brands.
Zubin Saxena was previously director, development at the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) for South West Asia. In March this year the chain formerly known as the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group rebranded itself as the Radisson Hotel Group. As of April 2018, it operated about 90 hotels in the country, including 52 under the Radisson and Radisson Blu brands, and a portfolio key count (operating and under development) of 14,000 keys.
Radisson’s new openings in 2019 for the next two years include Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC, Radisson Goa Baga, Radisson Bhopal, Radisson Kufri, and Radisson Rewa.
Rana had previously told that the company was planning to round up this year with 100 hotels including nine openings in 2018. The company was planning to grow to 200 (in operation and under development) hotels in India by 2022.
