Rare Albert Namatjira art on display at Araluen Arts Centre exhibition

A rare Albert Namatjira watercolour painting that has not been seen in 60 years is now on display at the Araluen Arts Centre exhibition.


Namatjira’s rare artwork, titled Haasts Bluff country, is the highlight of the new exhibition.


aRt of surPrise: Aboriginal art from Central Australia, is the latest exhibition in the Albert Namatjira Gallery and explores the birth, development and innovation of Aboriginal art in Central Australia.


The aRt of surPrise exhibition highlights fundamental themes and key moments that have informed and shaped Aboriginal artists across Central Australia and ultimately the evolution of Aboriginal art.


The Araluen Arts Centre is committed to showcasing the beginning and continuing development of Aboriginal art from the 1930s to today.
