Winter is round the corner and our craving for hot halwa and rabri jalebi is on the rise. The cold weather brings with it a desire for relishing dishes indulgence. Mouth-watering treats that you have avoided all these months to stay trim, suddenly become irresistible.
And what if you could have your favourite dishes under a starry sky with a sigdi to keep you cosy. Sounds too good to be true? That’s exactly what awaits you at Sepia, Renaissance Lucknow Hotel. Starting November 18th the hotel is organizing a 10-day food festival, ‘Sigdi- Dine under the stars’, to satisfy your winter cravings. Chef Mohsin will be dishing out specially prepared delicacies for Renaissance patrons. There will be live counters for halwas as well where guests can see these sweetmeats being made.
At the halwa counter, at least six different types of halwas will be served with different toppings to tickle your tastebuds. The halwas will be cooked in shudh ghee to enhance the richness and flavour of this iconic Indian sweet dishes. Other attractions at the food festival include rabri jalebi and kadhai wala doodh. To match with these exotic preparations, there will be a main course, the highlights of which will be, chicken malai tikka, kakori kebab, sarson ke phool, kadak veg seekh kebab and ande ke pakore.
“As winter sets in, we would like to indulge our patrons with mouth-watering like halwas and jalebis, something everyone loves in cold weather. I’m sure guests at the fest will enjoy these mouth-watering delicacies in a beautiful setting, complete with sigdis,” says chef Mohsin, Renaissance Lucknow Hotel. It’s going to be a real treat.
