“Abstract Landscape Colorado,” a new temporary art exhibit at Denver International Airport (DEN), highlights the twists and turns of Colorado’s breathtaking landscape through abstract drawings and paintings.
Local Colorado artists Mindy Bray, Wopo Holup and Heather Patterson created site-specific artwork for the display cases at DEN’s Ansbacher Hall, located in the Jeppesen Terminal on Level 6 just prior to the A Bridge security screening area. The exhibit features gold and silver gilded landforms, patterned environments and brightly colored systemic landscapes. The exhibit, on display through the end of June, is derived from the public art commissions awarded to Bray, Holup and Patterson in 2014 that are now featured within the airport’s new Westin Denver International Airport hotel. The displays in Ansbacher Hall will provide passengers with a look at the types of artwork inside the hotel at the opposite end of the terminal.
