RIU Hotels & Resorts has just presented its “A Unique Experience” video. This brief report, only 3 minutes long, can be viewed on the YouTube channel of the chain and will also have a prominent place in the new ‘home’ of www.riu.com. This project presents the RIU experience via the testimonies of real employees and customers. The images seek to show all that which cannot be explained in words; not what the customers can see or read in catalogues or descriptions, but how they will feel staying at a RIU hotel.
The greater part of the filming took place in the month of September at the ClubHotel Riu Gran Canaria, located in Maspalomas, the Canary Islands. This hotel reopened its doors in July after a complete renewal in which the company invested 25 million euros. Couples and families of five different nationalities participated in the video.
The result is a fast-paced, modern video which, in an extremely entertaining and attractive manner, presents a vision of that which is most important to the company: its philosophy of service. This is carried out from the point of view of its main characters; on the one hand the employees, who have the daily responsibility of looking after their guests in a dedicated manner, and, on the other hand, the customers, who appreciate and enjoy every part of the hotel.
This project uses a modern language and the new communication media, such as the social networks, to present the roots of RIU. Stress is placed on the key differentiating this chain from its competitors: its service and customer satisfaction. Thanks to the willingness of both customers and employees, who did not hesitate in dedicating a few minutes of their holidays or their workday to collaborate with the film crew, the video is now a reality of which the hotel chain is very proud.
