In central France’s Souppes-sur-Loing an 86 year old women was found dead in her flooded house as water level rose in the Loing River near Paris to its highest level after hundred years. Thousands have been evacuated from parts of France. Rising water has made situations very difficult as road communication has been completely cut off across Germany and Austria. There are sights of submerging streets and houses and people are moving to rooftops hoping to be rescued.
Bodies of three women were found in the basement of a house in Southern Germany in the state of Bavaria. Another woman died as her house collapsed due to floodwaters.
Flooding around Paris has reached to an exceptional point which is worse than the 1910 floods. Several thousand households were cut off as floodwater rose.
Austria too has been cut off as many areas had to face forced closure due to heavy rain around Salzburg.
