Three of these buildings are Grade II listed and are based in Exeter Streets, Burleigh, Tavistock and Wellington.

De Niro also said that the new Wellington hotel would pay tribute to the local area’s heritage and also bring the best of what they had accomplished in New York to London.

This hotel venture would be the third foray of Niro into the hotel business. He has launched the Greenwich hotel during the year 2008, that is famous for the Tribeca film festival.

However, the actor had also opened the Nobu hotel in Manila, Philippines. This hotel had been declared the worst luxury hotels of 2015. According to Luxury Travel Intelligence, Nobu hotel had some ‘questionable developments’ and also ‘overexpansion’.

Collr Robert Davis, deputy leader, Westminster city council said that the London hotel project is among the finest schemes for development that had been ever thought for Covent Garden in several years. He went on to add that the design of the hotel was of a fantastic quality and deserves to be a Covent Garden building that fuses the old with the new.

He said that visitors from all across the world would be attracted to this hotel.

Hollywood stars have been discovering a lucrative venture in the hospitality business. Elizabeth Hurley, Hugh Jackman and Clint Eastwood own hotels. The eco-friendly luxury resort of Leonardo DiCaprio that is located on Blackadore Caye in Belize is set to opened in the year 2018.

However, such projects are not successful always. Rupert Grint, a Harry Potter star had once owned Rigsby’s Guest House. But then, the hotel was shut down owing to poor sales.
